OD Guitars Warranty
I’m Omer Deutsch, the sole luthier at OD Guitars. I stand behind my workmanship and want you to feel confident about the instrument I build for you.
What the warranty covers
I cover defects in materials and workmanship for three months from the date you receive your guitar, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a new or used guitar bought directly from OD Guitars. It cannot be transferred to another owner.
Delivery and shipping insurance
Your guitar is shipped with insurance covering shipping damage, subject to the carrier’s policy and claim requirements. If it arrives damaged, contact me promptly and keep the packaging so I can help with the claim.
Identifying your guitar
Your guitar’s serial number is located on the headstock, or on the body for the Athena model. It identifies the model, build number and year of manufacture. NAMM projects and art pieces may use a different numbering format.
Instruments purchased directly from me come with a certificate of authenticity. If you have questions about your instrument’s identity, contact me.
What the warranty does not cover
- Normal wear, including worn frets, nuts, strings, finish and hardware plating.
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, negligence or improper care.
- Damage caused by excessive humidity, moisture, direct sunlight, heat or sudden temperature changes.
- Damage caused by repairs or alterations that I have not approved in advance.
- Routine maintenance and setup adjustments, including neck relief, intonation, string action and pickup height.
- Changes requested because of personal preferences about appearance, sound or playing feel, where no defect is present.
- Instruments with a removed or altered serial number.
Hardware and electronics are subject to their respective manufacturers’ warranties.
If something needs attention
Contact me before taking your guitar to a technician or arranging any repair. Include your guitar’s serial number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue and clear photos or video where helpful.
I review each claim individually and discuss the appropriate solution with you. Where agreed in advance, this may include covering the agreed cost of work by a local guitar technician.
In special cases, I may arrange for the guitar to be returned to me for warranty repair. Any shipping arrangements and responsibility for shipping costs must be discussed and agreed with me beforehand.
I do not cover repair work or expenses that have not received my prior approval.
